Alleghany Regional Hospital Announces New Board Members
Four new members were appointed to the Board of Trustees at Alleghany Regional Hospital (ARH). Each will serve a three-year term that began January 1, 2004. The new Board members include: Mamerto B. Adrales, M.D., Ian Archibald, M.D., Mary Ella Zelenik, M.D., and Peggy Doyle. These members will remain on the Board through December 31, 2006.

Mamerto Adrales
|
The new board members include: Mamerto B. Adrales, an internal medicine, and family practice physician. He has been affiliated with ARH since 1972. Dr. Adrales received his medical degree from Far Eastern University, in Manila, Philippines and completed his Residency at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey.

Ian Archibald
|
Ian D. Archibald, M.D., Orthopedic Surgery is a graduate of the University of Auckland School of Medicine. He completed his Residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland, OH. Dr. Archibald joined the staff of ARH in 1983.

Mary Zelenik
|
Mary Ella Zelenik, M.D., Radiology. Dr. Zelenik has served as the Medical Director of the Radiology Department of ARH since 1997. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Medical School, Nashville, TN. She completed Residencies at both Vanderbilt University and UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, NC.

Peggy Doyle

Peggy Doyle is Broker/Owner of Highlands Realty. She began her career in local Real Estate in 1988. Mrs. Doyle is a member of both the Virginia Association of Realtors and The National Association of Realtors.
In addition to the newly appointed Board members, other members of the Board of Trustees include: Joseph T. Cody, MeadWestvaco; Teresa A. Johnson, Principal, Mountain View Elementary School; Daniel W. Jackson, Chief Executive Officer, ARH; James E. Ballou, M.D., ARH; and William H. Lanehart, M.D., ARH.
